This course is designed to support Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions to maintain their skills and be able to share their experience as a MHFA or Champion. This is required to renew delegates certification within 3 years of completing their MHFA or Champions course.

In addition to the course, you will now become part of the largest MHFAider® community in England, gaining access to resources, ongoing learning and 24/7 digital support through our MHFAider Support App®, to give you the tools and knowledge you need to carry out the role effectively and confidently, whether that be in your workplace, a volunteer role, or in the community.

The 4 hour refresher course will support your Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions by:

• Renewing their skills 

• Updating their knowledge of mental health supports 

• Giving them the chance to practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan 

 

Enabling your Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions to refresh their skills, the same way your physical first aiders do, is a great way to demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to treating mental health and physical health equally.

• Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities
